Luka Rijeka d.d. signed a contract with the ICTSI

At the ceremony held on 5. Marta 2011. in Maritime and Historical Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka, Denis Vukorepa, CEO of the Port of Rijeka j.s.c. and Manuel Armando Fernandez, Senior Vice President of International Container Terminal Services Inc. signed an agreement of strategic partnership and ownership connectivity in the company  Adriatic Gate j.s.c.

The contract defines the investments in container terminal  Brajdica,  significantly exceeding  the amount of EUR 54 millions from the concession agreement. Key investments include the implementation of modern technologies that will enable full automation in monitoring of the unloading, storage and dispatch of containers.

 In accordance with the best world practice, ICTSI will make available their  international knowledge and experience, aiming to raise the operation and business standards  of  Rijeka Container Terminal. 

 

Denis Vukorepa, CEO of the Port of Rijeka j.s.c. emphasized: "In partnership with ICTSI, as a terminal operator of global significance, the increase in container turnover on Container terminal  is expected, opening of new Central and South Eastern European markets, as well as strong logistic lunge . We have opened the way to investments, defined with whom we are already “tomorrow” heading into new capital projects on Container terminal Brajdica.  We have chosen carefully and transparently, and I am convinced that the Project No. 1 in the Croatian Port System has been brought to the end”
